TMI alert! So I had my "period" for SIXTEEN days this month. My PCOS is RAGING right now and it sucks. 2nd weird thing... Lately I've been feeling some restriction??!! Haven't felt ANY since 5 months out of surgery and now I catch myself getting full VERY fast. I'm not complaining about that, but the down side is I am hungry again in about 30 minutes to an hour. Yes, I eat protein. Third weird thing... my hair is falling out... FAST. Especially on top. I had some hair loss about one month out of surgery which was way over a year ago but it was short lived. Can't understand why I am getting it again.
I have appointments next month with an endocrinologist, orthopedic surgeon and a hemotologist. I might as well take advantage of this time trying to dig deeper than just weight loss when it comes to my health.
Here are some pics from my oldest daugher's 13th birthday... :)
Below: the kids all waiting for my daughter in the arcade...
Below: the cake and treat bag table... the cake was amazing! My friend did such a great job and it was soooo cute for a 13 year old. Real "Cake Boss" type stuff. :)
Below: the little specs on the tables are fake jewels in her birthday colors.
There are also candles on the table.
Below: the bowling lanes...
Total: 37 kids! :)

I'd definitely speak to the endocrinologist about the hair loss as that could be a hormonal thing, especially if your PCOS is at peak.
My neighbor had WLS and attends a support group so I asked her about being hungry. She told me how some of the folks still feel hungry all the time. Some have found that it has to do with stomach acid and others felt it helped to eat less food at one sitting but eating more times during the day.
I hope things get better for you soon. Keep hanging in there! :)
hmmmm I am not a doctor or anything but you might want to get some blood work done. Are you taking any vitamen??
37 kids???? Didn't you plan the party only like a week in advance? That's amazing! You're a trooper!
Is this the same daughter that caused all of the damage to your house? Not sure I would have thrown her this type of party after that. Yes acknowledge her birthday, but don't reward her bad behavior.
Are they doing anything to control your PCOS through diet (like Bernstein's) or metformin? I'm so sorry you bled that long, and losing hair is always a hard thing but particularly for a woman!
Keeps posted as to how that goes. As for the party, that looks like fun! We just do small family get togethers, so I'm always impressed by bigger bashes than my own ;)
I love that cake..it's beautiful! I bet she had a fantastic birthday party. I hope your band is working. That would be great. I am sure they will figure out the deal with your hair. HOpe they do that soon..it has to be troubling.
Chris, I don't have a band... :)
Stacy - my older two kids have severe emotional disorders caused by the severe neglect and abuse they suffered at the hands of their birth mother and while in foster care. Most of what they do is not in their control. I was not rewarding her in ANY WAY. She had several punishments but taking away a birthday party is NEVER in my list of things to do. Especially since both kids can't be corrected by punishments/rewards alone due to their disorders. We do what the therapists, doctors and schools advise but thanks for your input.
Yes "Lovely!" One week! :) (But I had been planning it in my head for a while so it was easy to bust it out once I realized how close we were getting! :) lol
Joyski - I take a multi, calcium & vit. D, and iron.
Sorry your PCOS is on the rampage right now. hope the bloodwrok will give you some answers.
